Dow Schofield Watts (DSW) is an award winning independent financial advisory firm. It wanted to produce a video that promoted who it is and what it does.
It was important that Dow Schofield Watts ended up with a video that helped position it in the right place in the market.
It wanted viewers to continue to perceive them as professional, but wanted to show that it works on complex and challenging assignments with the same clients as some of its biggest competitors.
In addition to this, and perhaps most importantly, Dow Schofield Watts wanted to get across the culture and values within the firm; teamwork, integrity, collegiate working and long-term thinking are all incredibly important to the brand. It’s the company brand, values and culture that sets it apart.
We created interview style videos with key stakeholders, including James Dow, owner/co-founder and Rebecca Judson, partner in the business planning division.
Interviews were edited together with real-life shots from the offices (cutaways), which brings the interview and script to life.
The interview drives the narrative of the video and since DSW wanted to showcase its brand, its culture and values.
We encouraged interviewees to tell their stories in their own words.
We achieved this by creating a relaxed, low pressured environment and conducted the interviews as a conversation.
A relaxed conversation style interview allows interviewees to share their story in their own words, which provides a more authentic voice and a better viewing experience.
The videos were crisp, well edited and supplied in a timely manner. Colada put our interviewees at ease, which was really important to us.
